(Just some stuff I'm learning as I go and wanted to share with you.)

Problem: Intro Spin-Pop won't show up

I don't know how many of you use a WYSIWYG composer for your webpage creating, but I use Mozilla Composer (and I love it normally) but... I ran into a major problemo when trying to recreate my index pages for the site where I planned to set up and to resell this outstanding software. (Yes, you get resell rights with Spinning Popup Generator)

The problem was that the initial spinning pop, the intro one, would NOT come up to save my neck! It was very frustrating, because I'd fix the code and just as soon as I clicked "SAVE" the doggone composer's internal workings would change the code back to that which did not work instantly.

Solution:

Frustrating? Yes! Solution? Yes! (I'm very stubborn when it comes to software that fights with me!) So what I did was recopy the upper portion of the ORIGINAL website code (comes with your software package or is downloadable from inside the software, either one will do).

Then took a little cyber-trip to my webhost cpanel and logged in (because obviously cutting and pasting it into the source code via my composer was NOT working, I had to think of an alternative).

Once inside, I went to the "File Manager" section and chose the stubborn index.htm that was not cooperating with my in my HTML composer. I clicked on the index.htm and chose "Edit File" and it opened a window where I could highlight the mis-written code and paste in the working code.

Voila!! Now, when you go to the home page, the intro popup works great.

As I discover other things, I will be adding them to this page, or if you, dear customers come up with something - please, please send me the 'problem + solution' and a link to your site if you want the exposure and I'll post it here and give you the credit. The main purpose of this page is to help others so they don't endure these same frustrations!
